One of the elements that set the File Fabric apart from other content management solutions available in the market, is the strength of features aimed at Media and Entertainment companies that deal with large amounts of media assets, and that provides non-proprietary storage workflows for Media Asset Management.
Led by M-Stream®, a feature exclusive to the File Fabric that can accelerate large file/object data to/from destinations, we’ve enhanced a series of features that strengthen the media capabilities of the Enterprise File Fabric:
- FILE TRANSFER ACCELERATION
M-Stream®, the File Fabric’s file transfer acceleration technology, has been enhanced and certified with even more file and object providers to offer a fast productivity enhancing experience for large file transfers including remote workers who have to deal with limited consumer broadband speeds.
- ON-DEMAND TRANSCODING
The File Fabric now provides on-demand transcoding between a range of video file formats. Using transcoding the Enterprise File Fabric can convert unsupported media files into a web compatible form, without altering the original copy.
- METADATA EXTRACTION AND CLASSIFICATION
The File Fabric indexes media assets and extracts metadata making it easier to classify, search and fine data. AI integrations are provided into best of breed video indexing technology such as Google Vision.
- GALLERY VIEW
A brand new, tile-based ‘gallery view’ is now supported in the Web File Manager, inclusive of pan and zoom features, which provides a better experience for photo file assets.
