As CEO of Storage Made Easy, it is difficult to pick a ‘winner’ for the favourite feature section as there are so many quality features. However, if I had to pick one that I use frequently, it is the file sharing controls for Secure Link Sharing.
This feature enables me to easily password protect links, but to also set a time expiry on the link and, importantly, to limit the number of downloads so that I can be sure that a file cannot be forwarded to someone else. To prevent this, I just set the download limit to 1.
The great thing about this feature is that it works with any Cloud Storage solution that SME supports (and there are over 50!) and it is directly enabled inside of applications such as Mac Mail or Outlook:
In my case, I can use this on-premises with a locally hosted SME Enterprise Appliance that is using a combination of Amazon S3 and on-premises CIFS shares.
