SME now offers free 2GB on Amazon S3

We’re pleased to announce that we have updated the free storage amount we offer on Amazon S3 to 2GB. This means that if you sign up for a free account with us and choose to use our storage (as well as adding your clouds) you get a free 2GB

Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) is an online storage web service offered by Amazon Web Services. Amazon S3 uses the same scalable storage infrastructure that Amazon.com uses to run its own global e-commerce network, and provides scalability, high availability, and low latency at commodity costs.

Amazon S3 is designed to provide 99.999999999% durability and 99.99% availability of data over a given year. S3 is also designed to sustain the concurrent loss of data in two facilities.

SMEStorage enables users to benefit from Amazon S3 by using this as it’s own storage service. Of course you don’t need to use Amazon S3 from SMEStorage. If you wish you can sign up to use your own keys, or use other clouds.

All existing free users and business users who use the SMEStorage S3 provider will have their accounts updated to reflect this.
